Itchy Scratchy Baby
For the past few weeks I have noticed red, blotchy, dry spots on Peyton's legs and arms. Recently, they have spread to her stomach and face, so this past Tuesday Dustin and I took her to the doctor for a consult. Dr. Moll, our pediatrition, confirmed that it is infact a severe case of Eczema. He percribed us some "rescue" ointment to apply all over her body for the next week. He also gave us some tips for preventative treatment for the future to hopefully get her skin under control. He said that this will most likely be something that she will struggle with for a while, so we are taking her treatments (ointments, lotions, fragrence free and dye-free washes and detergents) pretty seriously. These patches can become irritating and itchy in the future so hopefully these creams and ointments will get in under control to prevent an irritated Peyton. We have been using the perscribed ointment for two days now and everything seems to be clearing up nicely. We'll keep you updated!P.S. Peyton weighed in at 18 lbs and 9 ounces! My sweet big girl!
