The day before Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas tree. I look forward to this time of year every Christmas season because I love to decorate for the holidays, but this year was extra special for our family because of our addition to our family. I was so excited to see Peyton's reaction to the lights and the tree that I couldn't resist decorating HER! She was a little perplexed as to what the lights were but I think she had fun exploring the strand! This could be the only year I don't have to worry about her breaking the bulbs out of curiosity.
She watched me put up the tree in our living room and was interested in this new stranger in our home. I can't say she loved the tree yet, but I think it's growing on her!
She even helped me decorate the tree by holding some ornaments for me. Little does she know that next year I'm really going to put her to work!
I can't wait to see what this Christmas season holds for our family. With so many firsts it is sure to be one we will never forget!
